RCES (UK) Ltd Executive Director, Gordon Fuller now specialises in providing training and advice for industry in many areas of expertise. Advice, training and consultancy is given in areas relating to Health and Safety including site management, planning supervisor, Auditing, Fire Safety, Generic and Dynamic Risk Assessment, The Industrial Management of Health and Safety, Health and Safety Training Techniques as well as specific risk assessment. These include ergonomic and anthropometric study and measurement, machinery assessment, and thermoregulatory affects on the body from built environments and vibration monitoring.
His main remit is to provide technical input and consultancy for specific clients as well as writing bespoke courses, combining areas of expertise, where training is required. Examples of specialist areas of knowledge include Fire Safety, Construction practical safety, Safety Management Techniques, Glass and Solar Safety, General Safety Awareness for small and large companies.
Consultancy role includes auditing of all south west churches, cathedrals and protected buildings of the Plymouth diocese in Devon, Cornwall and Dorset. Further to personally designing the safety system to meet insurance company requirements Gordon provides an auditing and report service and oversee DSE assessments, fire risk assessment, risk assessment as well as control of public safety and contractor activity, this service is extended to industrial and commercial retail outlets for food and holiday accommodation.
Gordon has worked with rail, shipping, oil, extraction, pharmaceutical, gas, explosive and clay processing as a training consultant and as a training provider within his current role.
Within his role Gordon is also contracted out to deliver site safety seminars under the HSE/CITB WWT (Working Well Together) scheme in the South West.
He also represents RCES (UK) Ltd as a speaker at safety events to promote home safety.
His role is to provide a holistic training solution to clients' needs in these areas. Clients include over half of the UK Fire Services, Specialist Police Services and County Constabularies. These services are extended to their contractors for construction and maintenance.
In addition to the hands on safety practitioner role Gordon also directs RCES on business and financial matters and represent the company to home and international clients. He has recently joined a team of three industrial investigators representing RCES (UK) Ltd.
RCES (UK) LTD was developed from a concept of client/industry specific training and development in 1995. Since that time Gordon Fuller has created and progressed a company proud in its reputation to identify client need, develop specific training to meet the need and monitor the effectiveness of culture and actual skill change.
Projects include designing a training matrix for fire fighters in line with government proposals; this was completed in 1999 and is continuing at this time.
RCES (UK) Ltd also provided a seven course system for Imerys Minerals trialled in 1997 for 3500 employees after completing training needs analysis within the 52 UK sites, the training remains live and is extended to global partners.
